John Kristian is a writer/composer based in London. After graduating from Mountview Academy Of Theatre Arts as an actor, John followed his passion for writing. John’s first venture into writing was a collaboration with members of his year on a musical called “The Picture House”. It debuted at The Edinburgh Fringe where it was nominated for Scottish Daily Mail Best New Musical award. After this success it transferred to The Lost Theatre (Lambeth) in London.
His professional writing debut was The Homefront (Union Theatre, Southwark) a semi verbatim musical about Homeless life on the streets on London. John has also written VOW, Hidden Talents (Revue) and his new show “The Ship & Lighthouse” premiered a few songs upstairs at The Landor Theatre this March.
Last year John co-founded Fairground Theatre Company to help writers like himself create a platform from which the work could be seen and workshopped. Part of this company’s work is The Songs From The Playground one-year program, which gives the writer access to all the tools needed to explore their work.
